Certifying the security and resilience of supply chain services

It is one year since our project started and we have quite a few things to celebrate! Multiple deliverables have been submitted to the European Commission for their review, we organized multiple events sharing our knowledge and findings and we participated in forums and conferences discussing our progress and learning from the other projects and initiatives. We also published our first papers and are heading fast toward the development of our Minimum Viable Product. Below, we share an overview of what happened this year, with an emphasis on the most recent activities! Enjoy the reading and let us know if you would like more information related to any topic in particular or if you have any suggestions for us!

CYRENE’s goal is to devise the methodologies, techniques, and tools needed for the efficient evaluation and handling of security threats and vulnerabilities of all digital assets and infrastructures involved in the provision of critical Supply Chain services. On our roadmap to achieve this, we have created and submitted multiple deliverables so far.

Draft reports of public deliverables for open discussion are available and include:

By the end of last month, we organized our first Info Day, led by our partner: Fundación Valenciaport, where we shared information with the audience about our work, as well as about our pilot cases. All materials used can be found here. During the same month, we sponsored the organization of the CyberHOT summer school, attended by more than 70 people focusing on hands-on cybersecurity learning. Find out more here. By the end of the month were ready with our second Info Day and our Hackathon. More information about these events will be shared in our next newsletter together with highlights from all the presentations. We can’t help not mentioning though how proud we are of our Hackathon participants!

They all came up with great results but unfortunately, we had to choose a winning team. That was Hacker Storms consisting of Vasiliki Georgara, Giorgos Pantelis, and Gina Hatzimarkaki. Congratulations to everyone and we hope to see you at the following events as well!
