CYRENE showcased in the 5th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference In the Maritime Domain

5th NMIOTIC Cyber Security conference participants

The 5th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference took place at the end of September in Souda Bay of Crete, Greece. Its aim was to promote collaborative scientific, industrial, naval, maritime, and academic inter-workings among a wide variety of stakeholders regarding Cyber Security and Cyber Defense Operations in the maritime domain, in order to tackle Cyber Security issues in a holistic, comprehensive, and effective way and also increase awareness and expand the individual perception of the maritime community.

The event was attended by approximately 50 people physically while the sessions were also broadcasted via the GoToWebinar platform to provide access to those who could still not travel due to COVID-19 restrictions. CYRENE project was showcased to the audience since its objectives and goals are addressing the core of the conference’s theme, especially since one of the pilot cased is in the maritime domain.
