Maximizing CYRENE's benefit for the EU community

Dissemination means

CYRENE aims to enhancethe security, privacy, resilience, accountability and trustworthiness of Supply Chain services, through the specification of security certification schemes. The project addresses the lack of methodologies, techniques and tools for the efficient evaluation and handling of security threats and vulnerabilities that modern Supply Chains face. Our solution will consist of the definition of Security Certifications Schemes as well as the necessary Conformity Assessment processes. Global Supply Chains are a way of life for modern business, becoming more complex and integrated, therefore filling these gaps is imperative.

The main goal is to benefit as many citizens as possible and society as a whole.

CYRENE is a HORIZON 2020 funded project and as such is financed by EU citizens. Therefore, it aims to benefit to the largest number of citizens possible and the fruits of our research to reach society as a whole. In order to achieve this, ZELUS, as the Dissemination and Communication Manager of the project, with the contribution of the rest of the consortium’s partners has devised a strategy to approach as many potential users as possible – peers in the research field, industry, other commercial players and policymakers.

In our effort to do this, we have launched multiple channels of dissemination and communication such as the project website, which consists of rich content, related to the project. Our social media accounts (Twitter and LinkedIn) are being used as a means to keep everyone up to date. We are sharing news not only about our activities, but also about the field of cybersecurity and conformity to minimum security and resilience requirements in the supply chain domain.

Bi-directional communication

We are aiming to maintain a bidirectional communication with the audiences we are trying to benefit. This is why we have also welcomed the creation of 3 external Advisory Boards. The boards consist of cross industry players, ethics experts and end users, with whom we already had our first workshop after 6 months of work. In order to involve end users even further in the solution the consortium is developing and meet their requirements, we have created an anonymous online questionnaire. The questionnaire will help to collect information about:

  • the respondents’ organisation
  • supply chain services relevant to the respondents
  • information about Risk and Conformity Assessment Processes implemented within the respondents’ organisation.

The interaction with all these stakeholders will help making CYRENE’s outcomes highly relevant and utilizable.

Collaboration

Creating an ecosystem of related projects and initiatives has multiple benefits. Partners can contribute to multiple projects’ results with their insights and feedback. In addition to this, the consortia can learn from each other’s activities. Last but not least, they can leverage their platforms of communication to reach a bigger audience. It becomes evident that collaboration is very important for maximizing the impact of the European citizens’ investment.

Therefore, a key objective of the CYRENE consortium, is to collaborate with projects and initiatives tackling similar challenges. Projects such as ASSURED, PALANTIR, 5GENESIS, INSPIRE5GPLUS, SPHINX, PANDORA and SPARTA are only a few among the ones with which we are joining forces. We are approaching more projects, initiatives (like living-in.eu) and institutions for collaboration and we are welcoming anyone who would like to join the dialogue and contribute to making CYRENE’s outcomes as relevant as possible. If you are one of them don’t hesitate to reach out to us by filling our contact form.
