As we approach the culmination of the CYRENE project, set to conclude by the end of September 2023, we are pleased to present the latest edition of our newsletter, encapsulating the significant strides and accomplishments since our last update in version 6. This edition not only serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit of all stakeholders involved but also highlights the project's pivotal role in advancing cybersecurity research and innovation in Europe.

 

Over the recent months, CYRENE has been at the forefront of numerous events, workshops, and collaborative initiatives. From the successful hosting of the CYRENE Hackathon 2023, the insightful sessions at the CYRENE Info Day by CRF, to the engaging discussions at the Valencia Pilot Event and the Barcelona Cyber Security Congress 2023, our commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and promoting cybersecurity best practices has been unwavering. Furthermore, our partnerships, such as the one with PUZZLE, aimed at elevating cybersecurity awareness, and our participation in events like the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, underscore our holistic approach to addressing cybersecurity challenges in the supply chain.

 

As we near the project's conclusion, this newsletter edition also offers a reflective look at our journey, emphasizing the tangible impacts and the legacy CYRENE aims to leave in the realm of cybersecurity. We invite our readers to delve into the detailed accounts of our recent activities, collaborations, and the innovative strides we've made. Our Highligths
CYRENE Workshop on Cybersecurity Standardization and Supply Chain Security

Privanova successfully hosted the CYRENE Workshop on Cybersecurity Standardization and Supply Chain Security, an initiative of the CYRENE project. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between research and standardization in cybersecurity, with a focus on supply chain security. The event brought together experts, industry stakeholders, and researchers to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the field. The workshop also provided a platform for CYRENE to present its contributions to standardization efforts. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, share insights, and collaborate on future initiatives. CRF Demonstrates CYRENE Platform Capabilities in Automotive Manufacturing Industry

On June 19th, 2023, CRF, a key partner in the CYRENE project, spearheaded a pivotal pilot demonstration at their venue in Turin, Italy, showcasing the capabilities of the CYRENE platform within the context of the Automotive Manufacturing industry. This event, attended by all CYRENE partners, was a testament to the project's commitment to enhancing cybersecurity in supply chains, particularly against cyber-attacks. The demonstration simulated a cyber-attack scenario on the Automotive Supply Chain Services at the CRF premises in Orbassano, Italy, where various systems and services were targeted to disrupt the supply chain. This pilot event not only highlighted the platform's robustness in identifying and mitigating risks, vulnerabilities, and threats but also marked the beginning of CYRENE's final validation activities. With over 40 participants, including potential stakeholders and interested parties, the event emphasized CYRENE's dedication to fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in the realm of cybersecurity.
