I did not update my blog since some months. A lot happened in my real life, and a lot happened in Entropia too. As this si for my Entropia site, I will only talk about EU happenings here :

Skills:
I unlocked Serendipty, a skill that affects a lot professions with 1-3%.
I managed to reach level 40+ in Taming.

Economy:
Personally I think the prices in Entropia will go down for some more months. This is why I sold nearly all my expensive items, even when I lost more than 50% of the prices I paid. This includes also shopkeepers: I bought some of them for +6000 PEDs and sold them down to +2300 *ouch*.

Gameplay:
MA seems to act pretty wierd these days: the loot is a lot worse than ever, no matter if you craft, mine or hunt. So I know a lot people playing less or not spending as much as they did half a year ago. I just think, MA can't go on with this behaviour for long, as they will loose more players than they will gain (in my opinion)... let's see. I personally did some crafting because of a double-skill-period, but for all the other professions I don't do much.

The game itself:
It feels like Cryengine is not coming in the next 4-6 months .

This is a real cool news:
With the new release (Cryengine 2) of Entropia Universe, Motörhead Frontman Lemmy will create an own society inside Entropia... ok, this is fun but not sooo cool.



Cool is:
1) There will be a Motörhead Stadium where you can listen to live and prerecorded acts!
2) You will be able to manufacture Motörhead Merchandise stuff
3) The Motörhead-Monster looks amazing cool (check http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/En...se-897991.html)

This is gonna give a BIG blow to Entropia as all music fanzines will write about it... just as they did years ago for Second Life, but this time with a game behind it, ot just a chat system.

I had two very nice mining runs in PVP 4 yesterday:
Each was 200 probes, 100 bombs (not all dropped). No globals, but first run was a profit of 213 PEDs due to Himi and Blood Moss, second had no Himi, but Niksarium and Narc, a profit of 97 PEDs.

So I am back on track... can't wait until I get a DSL connection in my new appartment, so I can play again in the middle of the night

In the last week I had pretty bad runs, even globals did not bring me to the profitable area.
So today I decided to try soemthing new:
Explorer armor (sold in my shops, hehe) wth 3B plates (not in my shops, hehe ):
pretty much the same protection as a vigilante without plates, but about 25% more economical.

Details:
Drones do 30% Penetration and 70% Burn damage.
Vigilante gives 14 HP burn and 14 HP penetration damage.
Explorer with 3B plates give 7 HP burn and 12 HP penetration damage.

In the past weeks, I had a lot of globals and a lot of hunting and mining losses. In the end I am still on the profit side again . Most remarkable run was a few days ago: I wanted to skill on gradivores, killed a mature one (lame mob) and recieved a Body Skulping Toolkit (so not the unit where you stand in, but the tool you need to put on your hands)). TT=15 PEDs, markup 200... from a mob that is a easy as a snablesnot .

We had several beacon runs past weeks, most were good, but on of the bigger ones was really bad.

I am still skilling on my melee skills and it is sooo slow, really not much fun these days. I am aiming for 122 health, but as I don't have much time to play due to RL activities, this might take another week to reach... I wonder if I ever come near 60 agility . Evader is now about 11,5... not much progress in all professions, raaaah!

What I find funny is, that the quality of Entropia looks already a ton better than Second Life... and it's faaar away from the Crysis-Engine .

The interview is interesrting, as they claim not to create "one new planet", but several ones. One chinese one and one fun-park-related thing at least. So this is gonna become very very cool.... and prices for hangars and space ships will rise even more .

I came home from my offsite work and was immediately invited to a 35 PED beacon from my soc, the Irken Invaders. For me it was a short beacon, on level 2 I FAPed Squee and got killed .

After that I made a longer skill run on Tantillions west of Atlas Haven... and did a profit over all with aprox. 50 PEDs.

News for the entropia community: 711 created an instant messenger based on the Jabber protocol. Due to the heavy workload in my real life, I don’t have much time to play Entropia Universe lately. If I can spend some time in EU, most of this time I spend on refilling my shops in Port Atlantis Schopping mall and Twin Peaks shopping mall. I don’t want to complain, since a few months both run unbelievable good, they are real money-makers now.


However, I am always happy if I can really spend some time hunting or mining, or at least do some skilling. Last week I bought two new weapons, as my last Korss H400(L) broke: a P5a(L) and a P9(L) grenade launcher. I have to say, that I don’t like the P5a… it’s not much fun to play with, as you don’t „feel“ a big difference to the H400 and the eco is worse.

I spent some time with the P9 launcher… and hell, it IS fun . After I played a while with it, I found some mobs that you kill with one shot to about 90%, and I finished them with my Masher One (unlimited), so this is a good skilling combination... not quick, but fun to do.

I have to say, that now (level 13 in grenade launcher) the grenades and rockets become fun.


But best was Saturday: I had a quick team chat with Cy Cyance from „my“ soc „Irken Invaders“ (Society links). We talked about mining places and he allowed me to test one of his favorite places. I promised not to tell what location it is, however I didn’t fund much… then suddenly a VIII niksarium and after that a 71 PED global(click for details).

In the end the mining run was profitable only on TT bases, with a markup between 180% to 190% fort he niksarium it was a real nice run. And I did it unamped (as always).

This reminds me that I need to donate some PEDs from the run to Cy for telling me his favorite spot!

Gestern habe ich meine letzte Korss 400 (L) kaputt gemacht und mir jetzt neue Waffen zugelegt:
1) P5a(L) (macht irgendwie gar keinen Spass und ist auch nicht so ökonomisch wie die K400)
2) Vumpoor Pug 9 Grenade Launcher... den hab ich noch nicht ausprobiert, 'mal abwarten.

Naja, und dann gleich beim Jagen 90 PEDs Verlust eingefahren . Werde heute nach dem Arbeiten dann 'mal den Grenade Launcher bei Massen an Tantillions ausprobieren, man darf gespannt sein .

Avastar (DAS Magazin für Second Life) widmet sich jetzt mit einer eigenen Abteilung auch Entropia Universe. Dass sie dies nicht für etwas wie WoW oder andere MMROPGs machen, zeigt, dass inzwischen auch "klassische" Medien (in dem Fall Bild.de) Entropia für zukunftsfähig und finanziell interessant halten.

Sonntag war ziemlich chaotisch... nicht nur im RL, sondern abends auch in EU. Ich wollte am Exa-Event teilnehmen (für die Neulinge: findet jeden Sonntag statt, ist kostenlos, man jagt ausschliesslich grosse Exarosaur). Etwa 30 Minuten vor dem Start hab' ich meinen herrn Sohnemann gefragt, ob er sowas schon 'mal gemacht hat... hatte er nicht, also hab' ich ihm erklärt, was er machen muss und ihm dafür noch eine Marber Bravo geliehen (ich selbst nehme eine ARR8000 als tagging Rifle).

Event startet, typisches Chaos und nach 10 Minuten wieder kein Exa in Sicht... betttuch hatte aber irgednwann Glück und fand einen Spawnpoint, wo die Viecher dauernd gespawnt sind und er munter weiter verluste einfahren konnte .

Egal, am Ende des Events hatte ich nur etwa 30 PEDs an Ammo verballert, weil nicht mehr Exas zu finden waren, war Platz 67 oder so und hatte damit wieder (wie die letzten 3 Wochen) massiven Verlust eingefahren.

Kaum war der Event vorbei, spawnten Exas wie verrückt und ich hab' angefangen, mit meinem Masher One (unlimited) noch etwas zu skillen... und das dritte Viech, dass ich erlege, schmeisst mir 503 PEDs raus, LOL .

Somit hab' ich alle Verluste der letzten Wochen wieder drin und bin immer noch profitabel... alles wieder gut, grinz.
